Fall Orientation 2024
Tennessee Wesleyan University welcomes you to New Student Orientation. During Orientation, new students will meet many members of the University community, learn what it means to be a Bulldog, finalize their financial aid, and more. Freshman students will meet with a faculty advisor to set up their semester schedule. Transfer students will be contacted by their faculty advisor to select classes.

What to expect at an in-person orientation.
- You will meet other new Bulldogs. You’ll meet in small groups of 8-10 students and go through activities to learn more about each other and TWU!
- Connect with current Bulldogs. Meet your Orientation Leaderswho will also serve as your Welcome Weekend Leaders in August.
- Meet with financial aid. You will meet with someone from Student Financial Services. Here, you can discuss your award letters, learn how to work on campus and set up a payment plan.
- Register for your first TWU classes! Meet face-to-face with your TWU advisor. You’ll talk through Wesleyan Essentials and your major courses – then register for fall classes! (Note: transfer students will be contacted by their faculty advisor to select classes, freshman students will select classes at Orientation)
- Parents/Legal Guardians – your attendance is not required, but we also have a schedule of events specifically for you.

FAQ (First-Year Students)
Where To Park
When you arrive on campus, make sure to follow the “Event Parking” signs. You’ll want to park in the lots by the residence hall, Wesley Commons. This is where you’ll be staying overnight and you’ll have an opportunity to unload your stuff before the festivities begin!
You’ll be greeted by your new classmates who will guide you to the check-in process.

Sara Denny - Director of Student Success
Sara is from the St. Louis, MO area and she has her BA frpm Truman State University and her MA from Roehamption University. She loves to travel and try new things, she’s a huge fan of the St. Louis Blue (2019 Stanley Cup Champions!), and the St. Louis Cardinals. She has one adorable and sweet cat named Owen Jenkins, one adoable and (slightly) mischievous cat named Ouiser, and one adorable and very mischievous dog named Berkley. Sara oversees our orientation program, coordinates the TWU 101/102 program, and works with the other success coaches at Mosher to provide success coaching and other programs throughout the year.
Why do you love working for TWU in the Mosher Success Center?
I loved the atmosphere when I visited TWU for my interview along with the oppurtunity to develop the Mosher Success Center. I love the oppurtunity to work with students and support students from orientation through graduation.
